Laurel Saville and Henry and Rachel were featured on Good Day New York, live on October 10, 2013.
During the five-minute and thirteen-second segment, Laurel shared the historical background on the letters that inspired her to write the novel and discussed the importance of handwritten notes. Laurel stated, “It’s very interesting when you’re writing a book. You start with these pieces and characters and you try to just fill it in. As you’re writing, crazy things happen. I’m always very surprised. The secrets appear to me right in the midst of writing.”
The segment credited Laurel as the author of Henry and Rachel, full time writer, and graduate of New York University. It included prominent color images of the book cover, the original letters that inspired the story, as well as vintage black and white images of both Henry and Rachel. Viewers were also directed to Amazon.com where they can pre-order the novel.
